The basic coating for piston rods is the hard chrome plating, which is carried out by electroplating in single or multiple layers. Piston rods in length of up to 20 meters and diameters up to 1,500 mm are hard chrome plated in deep chrome bathes. For application in more aggressive environments we can also supply the piston rods in stainless steel quality with chrome layer. Also electroplated nickel base layer with chrome plating is possible.
